Our honeybees are shipped to you in a small wooden box with a sliding plastic screen top that is locally handmade with the wood from our farm. Each box is filled with a sugary paste to feed and hydrate the bees during transit. Upon arrival, we recommend feeding the bees a thin line of honey, daily, which can be put along the top of the sliding plastic screen.

Each box contains approximately 60 bees.






Receiving Honeybees by Mail is convenient and affordable. In order to prevent passing our costs to our customer, bulk ordering is available and encouraged.

All orders are shipped via the U.S. Postal Service using Priority Mail.

All Bees by Mail orders are shipped on Tuesdays, therefor, all orders MUST be received on Mondays by 5 p.m. EST. In order to provide the best service for our customers, we have chosen this shipping schedule because the Post Office processes the least amount of mail on a Tuesday allowing live honeybees to reach their destination faster, which is crucial for their health.

In order to expedite the ordering process, we offer automatic shipping for accounts secured with a credit card. When your account reaches zero, four more boxes will be charged to your credit card eliminating any lapses between shipments so you can receive your bees on time.

Orders paid by check or money order must be received in advance of shipment.

A $25 Returned Check Fee will be charged for all returned checks.

For your convenience, the number of paid boxes remaining on your account is printed on the mailing label above your address. Once the remaining boxes reaches 'one', a reminder note will be included in your package signalling you to setup payment for you next 4 boxes. With automatic shipping, you will always receive your bees on schedule without ever having to contact us!

If your scheduled shipping lapses, we can ship your Bees in a Box at any time. However, a $5.00 surcharge will be applied to this additional shipment.
